Saints to Perform Tuck Everlasting

November 18, 2019

Saints Drama Club will perform the musical “Tuck Everlasting” on December 5-8 at the Joseph and Blanche Coutu Theater. The story is based on the 1975 children’s book by Natalie Babbitt and adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle and premiered in 2015.

“Tuck Everlasting” is the story of Winnie Foster (played by senior Lindsay Martin), an 11-year-old girl who meets the Tuck Family, who are seemingly eternally youthful. The family consists of Jessie, played by junior Jake Knox, Mae, played by senior Freya Badger, Angus, played by freshman Cooper Skenyon, and Miles, played by junior Ethan Silver.

Once Winnie learns their secret, it is up to her to protect it from getting into the wrong hands, especially from the Man in the Yellow Suit, played by junior Cooper Arnold. Ultimately, she is faced with a decision to return to her life or stay with the Tucks forever.

Senior Rachel Sassi plays Mother and junior Madelyn Paquette plays Nana. The role of Constable Joe is played by freshman Joshua Greenberg, Hugo is played by freshman Nathan Corbett, and Carny is played by junior Lauren Reilly.

The Ensemble includes freshmen Maggie Brittain and Joseph Donatelli, sophomores Lily Schattle and Larisa Ventura, juniors Isabella Calise, Chatham McClosky, Adi Pfeiffer, Ana Ramirez, Lauren Reilly, and Olivia Costanzo, and senior Katie Fisher. Featured dancers are junior Julia Carvelli, along with Fisher, McClosky and Pfeiffer.

There will be three evening performances on December 5-7 at 7:30 pm, and a matinee on Sunday, December 8 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Saints box office at 401-723-8100 x160 or purchased at the door.
