Saint Raphael Academy Welcome to the Saints family. Welcome home.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees

Saint Raphael Academy never takes the financial commitment of its families for granted and remains committed to making a Saint Raphael Academy education affordable. In fact, the Academy has always been among the most affordable options for Catholic high school in the area.

Tuition for the 2021-2022 academic year is $13,650, which includes a $500 registration fee due annually. Tuition for the next academic year will be set in January 2022. Included in the cost of tuition is a laptop computer for student use throughout all four years and comprehensive insurance on the device. This avoids the need for families to purchase a computer for their student.

Academic Scholarships

Academic scholarships are awarded by the Academy to the applicants who earn the highest scores on the entrance test and have grades commensurate with their ability. Recipients of these awards will be notified in their acceptance letters. Students who take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at the Academy will receive priority consideration for merit aid.

Rhode Island Catholic School Tuition Credit

All incoming freshmen students who have graduated from a Rhode Island Catholic elementary school are offered a tuition credit of $1,500 per year. The tuition credit is available all four years as long as the student remains in good academic standing and maintains good conduct.

Need-based Financial Aid

Approximately 75 percent of our student body is currently receiving some form of need-based financial aid. Need-based financial aid is provided by Saint Raphael Academy and the Diocese of Providence. In order to be considered for need-based aid, applicants must complete an application with FACTS Tuition Management, a company hired by the Diocese to evaluate a family’s financial need. Families can file an application with FACTS for the 2021-2022 academic year after November 1, 2020. If an application is completed by the priority deadline of December 27, 2020, and if your student is accepted, you will be notified of the financial aid award with your acceptance letter. Acceptance letters will be mailed on January 29, 2021. It is of the utmost importance that an application be completed no later than February 15, 2021, as the availability of aid sharply decreases after that due date. Applications filed after mid-February will be processed as they are received.

Financial aid awards are for one year only. Returning students must reapply to be considered for financial aid in future years. That being said, assuming returning students file their aid application on time, and there is no material change in the family’s financial circumstances, Saint Raphael Academy will do its best to maintain awards in future years. Returning students will be notified of their financial aid awards for the 2021-2022 academic year in April 2021, provided the application was filed by mid-February.
