Saints Olympics is Back!

It is Saints students' favorite time of year! While it may not look exactly like in years’ past, it will be just as fun! Listed here are the themes for the week and the daily charity challenge

 

Olympic Days

Monday, March 15 – Purple and Gold Day
All students should be dressed in purple and gold. Points will be awarded to students who dress with the most spirit.

Tuesday, March 16- Class Theme Day
FRESHMEN –Crazy Hat/Mix Match Day – Wear as much mix and match as possible
SOPHOMORES – All Black Out
JUNIORS– Sports Day
SENIORS– Dress to Unimpressed Day (Lazy Day)

Wednesday, March 17 – Virtual St. Paddy’s Green Dress Down Day
All students will be learning virtual on this day; however, everyone will still have the option to gain Olympic points by dressing in green.

Thursday, March 18 - Cultural Heritage Day
This is a dress down day during which students dress from head to toe in items that represent their cultural heritage.

Friday, March 19 – Class Colors Day
FRESHMEN – gray
SOPHOMORES – purple
JUNIORS – black
SENIORS – white

A Word on Saints Olympics Attire:
Students cannot wear masks or clothing that will negatively impact the school day. A student dressed inappropriately will be asked to change and their grade will lose 50 points. Students must wear their school uniform if they choose not to participate.

 

Saints Olympics Charities

Classes earn points for Saints Olympics for their charitable giving. Items should be dropped off at your class collection location. This year, the Saints family will be supporting these worthy causes:

Organization #1 OPERATION STAND DOWN

New or gently worn shoes, boots, sneakers, or dress shoes – 5 pts per pair

Organization #2 CROSSROADS

Items needed:

toothpaste (1 pt)
masks (3 pts)
toilet paper (1 pt)
feminine hygiene products (3 pts)

Organization # 3 PAWTUCKET SOUP KITCHEN

cereal (3 pts per large box/ 4 pts per extra large box)
peanut butter (5 pts – 40 oz. jar)
socks (2 pts per pair)

Organization #4 CARENET BABY ITEMS

diapers (3 pts)
bottles (1 pt)
wipes  (2 pts)
lotion  (1 pt)
pacifier (1 pt)
powder (1 pt)

Coin Wars – Saint Mary’s (our sister school in Kenya)

Students should place ALL COINS in their grade’s container provided in the cafeteria.

700 points is issued to the winning class
600 Second
400 Third
200 Fourth

All bills will count against the total of a class. Yes, this is when Coin Drive becomes Coin Wars! Results will be calculated and read to the school Thursday during the afternoon announcements.

Results will be announced each afternoon.

 

Saints Olympics Virtual Games

Last period on Friday. March 19 will be Saints Olympics Virtual Games. Students will be able to watch livesteamed, socially distant competition from their classrooms and virtually at home. Games include a quick quiz competition, craziest dressed and obstacle course, among others.
