Boys Lacrosse Heads to Playoffs

May 23, 2018

The boys lacrosse team is heading into the playoffs this weekend after winning their division for the first time ever. The lacrosse team is a co-op team with Providence Country Day.

The team won the Division III-Central title, posting an 12-2 overall record (two losses were non-league games). The first round of the playoffs begin on Saturday, May 26, at 10 am at Cranston East.

Both sports and academic achievements were made by many SRA students on the team. Patrick Coughlin and Brady Thibault were named to the Providence Journal First Team All-Division, while Hunter Parker and Dominic Raposa were named to the Second Team.

Additionally, 13 team members made the Academic All-American list for 2018, including Saints students Kevin Alezker, Isaiah Barrientos, William Bartels, Nolan Carlson, Patrick Coughlin, Anthony Marsella, Jeff Pimental Jr., Brady Thibault, and George Turnbull. The list recognizes students with a 3.0 GPA or higher (and 11 on the team have GPAs of 3.5 or higher).
