Boys and Girls Indoor Track

The boys indoor track team has had an outstanding season. They clinched the Northern Division Championship for the second year in a row in 2019 and went undefeated in the regular season. The team was also the Class C runner-up and placed 9th in the RIIL State Meet. Runners qualified for the New England Qualifiers (for 55-, 600- and 1000-meter events and the 2-mile event), as well as the National Qualifiers for the sprint medley relay and 800-meter events.

The girls team has also had its own season successes. The team moved up to Division 1 in 2019 and placed 6th in the Small Schools Class Meet this year. The team also had runners qualify for the New England Qualifiers in the 55-meter dash and the 2-mile events.

The Indoor Track program welcomes all comers. Both the boys and girls teams compete in Class C. Practice is after school each day with meets one night of the school week. All meets are at the Providence Career & Technical Academy (Fricker St, Providence). There are a wide variety of running, throwing and jumping events.

Boys and Girls 2020-2021 Schedule

The 2020-2021 season is tentatively scheduled to begin January 15, 2021. Please view the boys and girls track schedules on the Saint Raphael Academy page at the Rhode Island Interscholastic League website. Dates, times and locations subject to change. Check frequently for any changes

Practice

Practices are scheduled to begin on January 4, 2021. All practices are held at Alumni Hall at 2:30 pm.

Tryout schedules

There are no tryouts for indoor track. All are welcome to participate.
